Your friends don't have to be real gamblers to enjoy a casino party. To begin with, you needn't play casino games with real money. There are plenty of "party" stores which will supply you with all kinds of real and contrived poker chips, fake money and other casino accessories.
Creating the Casino Party Atmosphere
Your party room can be done up to look like a Wild West Saloon, a Las Vegas super casino or a Monte Carlo palace. You can even ask your guests to come dressed in costume in accordance with the theme you have picked. You'll find that most of them will be delighted to do this. Costumes always afford a lot of laughs as the guests arrive in various dress-ups for the occasion.
Prepare Casino Games
Your "casino" can be set up with table games such as Poker, Blackjack, Roulette or Baccarat. Or you can simply have banks of slot machines. The slot machine idea might be a bit more complicated as renting these machines would be quite an expense. However, Bingo can be played as well without causing you to go to a lot of trouble. If you include a Craps table, your evening will be filled with a lot of noise and laughter - and you can always dupe your guests by supplying loaded dice. After all, this is a party not a real casino!
Creative Casino Theme Refreshments
Food and drinks should be in line with whatever casino theme you have picked.
If you have gone for the Monte Carlo palace theme you should have plenty of bubbly champagne, good wines and fancy hors d'oeuvres. If you planned a Vegas casino, offer all kinds of hard liquor (Scotch, Bourbon, Brandy, etc.), soda drinks and hamburgers. The Wild West theme should have plenty of beer, maybe even on tap, and lots of munchies.
Whatever food and drinks you offer, you'll find that gambling makes your guests both hungry and thirsty so refreshments should be plentiful.
I have never been invited to a casino theme party, but I certainly would love to attend such an event. It could create a terrific evening. Maybe I'll just have to stick to online casino games until someone invites me!
